Mondetta is seeking a Technical Designer to join our Technical Design team. What You Will Do

• As our Technical Designer, you will help turn design concepts into clear, accurate, and production-ready garment specifications. You will coordinate technical information, evaluate samples and construction, and work with internal teams and overseas partners to keep product development moving forward.
• Review new styles with Designers and New Development partners to understand the intended design, function, construction, and customer requirements.
• Create, complete, and maintain accurate technical packages in the company’s product systems, including construction details, measurements, artwork references, colour information, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with Graphics team to ensure line sheets, brand artwork, logos, placements, and related production information are accurate and ready for manufacturing partners.
• Participate in fit and sample review sessions using live models and body forms to assess proportion, styling, construction, workmanship, and overall product execution.
• Prepare clear sample evaluations and technical comments for agents, vendors, and overseas manufacturers, including sketches, photographs, construction corrections, and pattern or fit recommendations where required.
• Review and approve assigned product submissions such as lab dips, bulk fabric, trims, branding components, testing reports, and inspection information within established authority and timelines.
• Communicate regularly with overseas manufacturers and internal partners to clarify technical requirements, resolve issues, and keep development and production activities on schedule.
• Follow styles from development through shipment samples, maintaining accurate records and proactively following up on outstanding approvals, samples, or technical information.
• Prioritize multiple styles and programs while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support other Technical Designers and cross-functional partners, share technical knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement of tools, standards, and processes.

What You Bring

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent education in Fashion Design, Apparel Development, Technical Design, Textiles, Pattern Making, or a related field.
• Experience in technical design, apparel development, garment production, fit, pattern making, or a related role within the fashion or apparel industry.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, sewing methods, pattern making, measuring, fitting, and apparel production processes.
• Experience creating or maintaining technical packages, specifications, sample comments, and production-ready apparel documentation.
• Ability to identify construction, workmanship, fit, and quality concerns and communicate practical corrections clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to internal teams, customers, vendors, and overseas manufacturers.
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple styles, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfort learning and working in product lifecycle, enterprise resource planning, or similar business systems.
• A collaborative approach, sound judgement, and a commitment to accuracy, follow-through, and product quality.

What You Will Do

As our Senior Fit Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring Mondetta products deliver a consistent, high-quality fit across a variety of brands, customers, and product categories. Working closely with New Development, Technical Design, Pattern Making, and global manufacturing partners, you will provide expert fit guidance throughout the product lifecycle while helping develop solutions that balance fit, function, construction, and customer requirements.

• Lead garment fit evaluations throughout the product development process, ensuring products meet customer requirements, brand standards, and quality expectations.
• Conduct fit sessions using body forms, live models, and 3D technologies to identify fit, pattern, and construction issues and develop effective solutions.
• Create measurement specifications, grading information, fit sketches, and technical recommendations that support accurate garment development and production.

Position Summary

Mondetta is seeking a creative and versatile Graphic Designer & Product Designer to support the development of apparel collections, licensed products, collaboration programs, and brand storytelling initiatives across multiple business units.

This role combines apparel design, graphic design, product development support, and creative execution. The successful candidate will work closely with Design, Graphics, Merchandising, Marketing, and Production teams to create commercially successful products and visual assets that align with brand standards and customer expectations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product creation and visual storytelling and is capable of moving seamlessly between apparel design and graphic design projects.

Key Responsibilities

Apparel Design & Product Development

• Support the development of apparel collections from concept through production.
• Create product concepts, technical sketches, colourways, and presentation materials.
• Research trends, consumer insights, graphics, fabrics, trims, and competitive products.
• Assist in the development of licensed and collaboration programs.
• Support product reviews, line planning discussions, and cross-functional meetings.

Education & Experience

• Experience in the apparel, fashion, sportswear, lifestyle, or consumer goods industry is preferred.
• Experience working with licensed products is considered an asset.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
