Technical Designer

The Technical Designer works closely with the Designers, Buyers & Product Development Managers to execute the technical development of products/programs. In addition TDs work closely with manufacturers & vendors to ensure product specifications, fit & construction meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review new styles with Designers to understand vision and concept
  • Responsible for completing accurate technical packages on our system, and ensuring they are sent to the overseas manufacturers on time.
  • Responsible for working with the graphics department to complete line sheets and logo artwork to send to overseas manufacturers.
  • Work with the fit department using live models and body forms to assess fit, proportion, and overall styling of garments; inspect construction/workmanship.
  • Provide detailed evaluation for each fit sample which may include pattern corrections, sketches, photos and fit comments to agents/ vendors and overseas manufactures.
  • Work with private brands and in house la- bels approving lab dips, bulk fabric and trims.
  • Communicate daily with overseas manufacturers.
  • Following through from fit to shipment sample, prioritizing workload to ensure dead- lines are met.
  • Provide support to other Technical Designers, and design department as required.

Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in related University or College Fashion/Textile program.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, pattern making, sewing, measuring and fitting.
  • Previous work experience in similar roles in fashion/apparel industry will be a definite asset.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to customers and overseas manufacturers.
  • Basic computer skills a must, (knowledge of Mac, Photoshop, and Excel an asset)
  • Ability to organize work, manage time and schedule projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Help Desk Technician

Reporting to the Network Administrator, the Helpdesk Technologist will provide support for all internal customers (as well as remote employees) of Mondetta Canada, Inc. This position will require the employee to learn many systems; from our ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) System, to our B2B & B2C eCommerce, Office applications, reporting systems, etc.  

What You Will Do

  • Support all users through tickets submitted to the company HelpDesk  
  • Work with the IT team to provide technical assistance and support for incoming user queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to queries either through MS Teams, in person, remotely or over the phone.
  • Write training manuals and/or train computer users.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Install, modify, clean and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN) 
  • Install computer peripherals for users.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved.

Additional Duties (Over Time)

  • Learning and understanding all our software systems on a mid to high level to be able to offer support in all areas.
  • Some server & switch details, the level of which to be determined by the Network Administrator based on the candidate’s knowledge, understanding and ability to learn.

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows server technologies (Server 2008 R2/2012/2016/2019) operating systems, Exchange, DNS and Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (Hyper-V).
  • Well versed in all Microsoft applications (Windows, Office 365, MS Teams) 
  • Well versed or comfortable with various support applications (AnyDesk, Helpdesk software, RDP) 
  • Experience with mobile devices (Apple, Android) 
  • Basic understanding of switches, routers and TCP/IP networking, VOIP 
  • Reliable Transportation

Assets:

  • Advanced training on Windows Servers, Active Directory and Networks 
  • Additional experience with various switches and related hardware including access points.
  • Experience with Linux and/or PowerShell.

As the Account Manager, your primary purpose will be as support for the Key Account Manager and assist in carrying out the necessary sales processes and tasks to maintain “best in class” customer satisfaction for large customers. You will work closely with internal teams and customers and understand how Mondetta’s design initiatives and program management provide highest value for the customer. Ultimately٫ you will contribute to the success of the company’s business objectives through your critical role in the sales and Account Management process.

Responsibilities

  • Understand a business plan that aligns Mondetta’s objectives and strategies with the objectives of key accounts.
  • Effectively and continually communicates with clients and internal departments to assure the orders are being processed timely and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate Account Information. Analyzes client performance and create reports, graphs, and charts for both internal teams and for external clients.
  • Proactively advise internal departments towards readiness for new product proposals and communicate with clients to set up meetings.
  • Supports Key Account Manager to assimilate, communicate and record information to maintain maximum customer satisfaction.

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing or assisting in managing large customer accounts.
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on business administration, sales or logistics
  • Prior experience and knowledge in apparel, fashion and/or textiles preferred
  • Demonstrated acute business sense and work with numbers to translate them into useful business information that helps all stakeholders
