Reporting to our Design Director – Internal Brands, the Designer is responsible for the development of new designs to enhance the company’s business, market share and profitability. Based on sales data and market research, Designers forecast future trends and help formulate the company’s product strategy. In line with the strategy the Designer develops new collections starting with CADs and then making physical samples partnering with suppliers, manufacturers, customers, and other departments. The Designer works with our internal teams to develop custom product for each specific brand.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and develop men’s & women’s active, lifestyle, sportswear & outerwear collections for in house brands. More focus will be placed in Men’s & Outerwear for this specific position, flexibility to work on various programs will be an asset.
- Create line sheets for technical design and for overseas factory use
- Create storyboards/inspiration boards for upcoming collections
- Forecast fabrication, silhouette, print, colour, and trends
- Follow through from design creation to sample development
- Work with offshore vendors and manufacturers as well as internal teams to bring samples to fruition
- Responsible for portion of collection from a design, colour, intention and construction standpoint
- Work closely with sales and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the designs suit the clients, consumer, market, and end user
Qualifications
- University graduate in Fashion Arts or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
- Must have expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Possesses fibre, yarn and fabric knowledge with a key emphasis on performance fabrications
- Knowledge of garment construction and fit
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Seasonal travel will be required
- Experience in Outerwear design & construction will be considered an asset

Mondetta is seeking a high-performing, analytical and passionate E-commerce Merchandise Analyst to own the end-to-end digital user-experience (UX). The E-commerce Merchandise Analyst supports all aspects of the customer experience from product discovery to conversion while monitoring category reporting, content organization and online assortment planning for Mondetta’s brands. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive team player to grow in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment. The E-commerce Merchandise Analyst supports the e-commerce day-to-day performance to deliver sales and gross margin objectives while managing the product lifecycle.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly E-commerce KPI reporting across all brands
- Analyze data and insights to determine E-commerce, industry and customer trends
- Partner in planning the online product assortment and digital product strategies
- Provide demand planning insights to ensure appropriate inventory levels, pricing matrixes and timely delivery of products
- Own all content on product listing/detail pages, imagery, customer reviews/ratings, cross-selling, product photography and product descriptions
- Liaise with Brand Marketing teams to ensure timely, accurate and efficient execution of all digital assets, seasonal launches and campaigns
- Conduct competitor and web research and margin analysis to optimize assortment and pricing plan
- Analyze product and category performance regularly to identify key trends and assortment improvement opportunities
- Improve browse, search and UX by managing and enhancing product attributes and taxonomy.
- Monitor E-commerce assortment, trends, and price point analysis and provide recommendations to maximize sales and productivity.
- Troubleshoot on-site technical issues with in-house development team and Shopify support
- Quality Control for e-mail, seasonal launches and promotional campaigns
- Support Brand Marketing activity and product selections for seasonal/promotional launches
- A/B testing set-up and execution to continuously understand the on-site customer journey.
- Assist with support during evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Required Skills & Education
- BA/Diploma/Certificate in Business Administration, Analytics, Accounting, Marketing, or other related field or equivalent experience.
- 2- 3 years relevant experience in a Merchandising, Assortment Planning, Inventory/Business Analyst, or E-commerce/Marketing Analyst capacity
- Previous E-commerce/Digital Marketing experience is preferred
- Strong analytical, math and problem-solving skills required
- Proficiency with Excel including Pivot Tables, Macros, and Connected Data Sources
- Must be a detail oriented, organized, and flexible self-starter with the ability to build processes
- Experience with Shopify, Google Analytics, Ad-words, and Digital Marketing Metrics would be an asset
- Ability to code common web languages (JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS) would be an asset

Mondetta is seeking a junior Photoshoot Coordinator to assist with all photoshoot related responsibilities. The position is a 6-month term, with possibility of full time in the future.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Schedule photoshoots and update photoshoot calendar
- Track and organize photoshoot samples
- Photoshoot preparation, including pack and unpack shipments, hang and steam clothing
- Source, order, and organize photoshoot props and accessories
- Liaise with model agencies, cast and book models, update model decks
- Scout and book photoshoot locations
- Assist with creating photoshoot decks including moodboards, schedules, and shot lists
- Assist with wardrobe styling, dressing models and styling off body
- Organize seasonal ecom and marketing images and brand assets on company server
- Clean, organize, and maintain the photo studio
- Merchandise and dress mannequins for head office showroom
- Process invoice requisitions, track expenses and seasonal budget
Required Skills & Education
- Experience in fashion styling or visual merchandising
- Post-secondary education in Fashion Marketing or Design preferred but not essential
- Experience with the photoshoot process, from conception through to implementation
- Knowledge of Excel, Keynote and Adobe Suite, ideally including Illustrator and Photoshop
- Great organization and prioritization skills
